Dharmendra Pradhan (born 26 June 1969) is an Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He currently serves as the 9th Minister of Education of India, a position he has held since 2021.
Pradhan has held several Union Cabinet portfolios over the years. He served as Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas from 2014 to 2021, as Minister of Steel from 2019 to 2021, and as Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship from 2017 to 2024.
In Parliament, Pradhan represents the Sambalpur constituency in the Lok Sabha. Earlier in his parliamentary career, he served as a member of the Rajya Sabha, having been elected from Bihar and from Madhya Pradesh.
