Rawlins began his senior representative career at an unusually young age, making his debut for Bermuda in 2013 when he was 15 years old. He went on to play for the England under-19 cricket team, having become eligible through his attendance at an English boarding school.
Rawlins made his first-class debut for Sussex on 14 April 2017 in the 2017 County Championship. A little over a month later, on 19 May 2017, he made his List A debut for Sussex in a fixture played during South Africa's tour of England.
Alongside his county career in England, Rawlins has continued to represent Bermuda in international cricket, later taking on the captaincy of the national side.
As one of the most prominent Bermudian cricketers of his generation, Rawlins represents a relatively rare crossover between Associate-nation international cricket and the English county circuit. His progression from a teenage debutant for Bermuda to a first-class cricketer with Sussex highlights the role of English schooling and county pathways in developing players from smaller cricketing nations.
