Daniel William Lawrence (born 12 July 1997) is an English professional cricketer who plays domestic cricket for Surrey in the County Championship. A right-handed middle-order batsman who also bowls occasional off-breaks, he has represented the England Test cricket team at international level, having made his Test debut in 2021.

Lawrence was born on 12 July 1997 and developed as a cricketer within the English county system. He established himself as a specialist top- and middle-order batsman, with a secondary role as an occasional off-spin bowler.
Lawrence began his first-class career with Essex County Cricket Club, with whom he spent the formative years of his professional career. He subsequently moved to Surrey County Cricket Club, the club he currently represents in the County Championship and other domestic competitions.
Lawrence was selected for the senior England side in the longest format and made his Test cricket debut in 2021. He has been used as a middle-order batsman in the England Test set-up.
Lawrence is a right-handed batsman who typically bats in the middle order. His distinctive stance and shot selection have been recurring features of his batting. He also rolls his arm over with off-break deliveries when called upon, though bowling forms a secondary part of his game.
