Williams came up through the domestic circuit in Gujarat and was associated with the Baroda Cricket Association. He featured in age-group and senior domestic cricket, primarily as a left-handed opening batsman.
Williams played in India's premier domestic competitions, including the Ranji Trophy, the Duleep Trophy and the Deodhar Trophy. As an opener for Baroda, he was part of squads that competed in the knockout stages of the Ranji Trophy during the late 1990s and early 2000s, contributing alongside players such as Connor's contemporaries in the Baroda batting line-up.
