The College of Art is a public institution of higher education in fine arts located in New Delhi, India. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in visual arts and applied arts, and is one of the older art colleges in northern India. The college is presently affiliated to Dr B. R. The College of Art traces its origins to art instruction begun in Delhi in the mid-twentieth century, evolving into a dedicated institution offering structured curricula in painting, sculpture, applied art, visual communication, art history and related disciplines. The college operates as a government institution under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
For much of its history the college was affiliated to the University of Delhi, with degrees awarded by that university. Its affiliation was subsequently transferred to Dr B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi, which now confers the academic degrees of its students.
