Central University of South Bihar, Gaya

Overview

Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) is a central university located at Panchanpur, Gaya, in the Indian state of Bihar. It is one of the sixteen central universities established by the Government of India under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (Section 25 of 2009).

The foundation stone for the university's permanent campus in Gaya was laid on 27 February 2014 by the then Lok Sabha Speaker, Meira Kumar. Once completed, the campus is planned to be spread over 300 acres at Panchanpur, with further construction ongoing.

Dr. C. P. Thakur serves as the Chancellor of the university, having been appointed by the President of India, while Kameshwar Nath Singh holds the position of Vice Chancellor. The university has been accredited with an 'A++' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
