The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) is a central university located in Kadaganchi village in the Aland taluka of Kalaburagi district, in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is one of several central universities established to expand higher education access across various regions of India.
The university was established by an Act of the Parliament of India in 2009, namely "The Central Universities Act, 2009". As a centrally funded institution, it operates under the legislative framework provided by this Act.
Situated in the Kalaburagi region of north Karnataka, CUK serves as a higher education institution in an area that historically had limited access to centrally administered universities.
