Overview

Central Sanskrit University, formerly known as the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, is a multi-campus central university dedicated to the Sanskrit language. It is headquartered in New Delhi, India, and operates through a network of campuses serving students of Sanskrit and allied disciplines.

The university functions as the central agency for the implementation of Sanskrit-related policies and schemes of the Government of India. In this capacity, it works closely with the Ministry of Education to support the promotion, preservation and development of Sanskrit learning across the country.
