Blessy is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He is known for character-driven dramas that explore human relationships, memory and emotional conflict. Blessy began his film career as an assistant to veteran director Padmarajan and later worked extensively with Lohithadas before making his directorial debut in 2004 with Kaazhcha.

Background

Blessy hails from Kerala. He developed an interest in cinema during his youth and entered the film industry as an assistant director, training under Padmarajan, one of the most respected filmmakers of Malayalam cinema. After Padmarajan's death in 1991, Blessy continued his apprenticeship under writer-director A. K. Lohithadas, gaining experience over more than a decade as an assistant before turning independent director.
