Bichpuri is situated to the west of Agra city, in a predominantly agricultural belt of the Agra district. The settlement is also known for hosting an agricultural college affiliated with Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, and the railway station provides connectivity for students, residents and farmers in the surrounding villages.
The station functions as a wayside halt and is used mainly by passenger trains running on the line through Agra. As a smaller station, it does not handle long-distance express services on a significant scale; commuters typically use it for short-distance travel to and from Agra.
For the rural population of the Bichpuri area, the station offers an affordable mode of access to Agra, which is a major commercial, educational and tourist hub of western Uttar Pradesh. It also supports the movement of students attending educational institutions located in and around Bichpuri.
