Bhagwant University, Ajmer

Overview

Bhagwant University is a co-educational private university located in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. It is privately funded by the Bhagwant Group of Institutions and was established as a state university through an act of the State Legislature of Rajasthan. The university is situated in the rural hinterland of Ajmer.

The university is registered with the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. Its academic programmes are approved by relevant statutory bodies, including the Bar Council of India (BCI), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and the Pharmacy Council of India. Bhagwant University follows the standards prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for its technical programmes.

Bhagwant University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), and the All India Management Association (AIMA).

In December 2023, the university was blacklisted by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department from the scholarship portal in connection with irregularities related to students' scholarships.
