Curran made his Twenty20 debut for Northamptonshire against Derbyshire on 8 August 2018. On 15 August 2018, he signed with the county for the remainder of the 2018 season, and went on to make his first-class debut against Durham on 29 August 2018. His List A debut followed on 26 April 2019 for Northamptonshire in the 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup. He was released by the county following the 2022 season.
Curran was selected to play for the Southern Rocks in the 2020–21 and 2021–22 editions of the Logan Cup, Zimbabwe's premier first-class competition.
In December 2024, Curran was called up to the Zimbabwe squad for their home ODI series against Afghanistan. He made his ODI debut on 17 December 2024, scoring 15 before the match was abandoned due to rain. He was retained for the subsequent Twenty20 International series against the same opposition, making his T20I debut on 26 December 2024 and scoring 68 off 74 balls in his first innings in the format.
On 18 February 2025, Curran made his maiden ODI century against Ireland at the Harare Sports Club, scoring 118 not out off 130 balls with 14 boundaries to help Zimbabwe to a nine-wicket victory.
Curran's selection added a third member of the Curran family to international cricket, after his brothers Tom and Sam, who play for England. By representing Zimbabwe, he continued the line started by his father Kevin Curran, linking two generations of the family to Zimbabwean cricket.
