Crist emerged through Tamil Nadu's domestic cricket structure, which is administered by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) and feeds players into the state's Ranji Trophy squad. Tamil Nadu has historically produced fast and medium-pace bowlers from its league system in Chennai, the centre of the state's cricket administration.
He has featured for Tamil Nadu in the recognised domestic competitions organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which include the Ranji Trophy (first-class), the Vijay Hazare Trophy (List A) and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (Twenty20).
