Arka Jain University (AJU) is a private university situated in Gamharia, in the Seraikela Kharsawan district near Jamshedpur, in the Indian state of Jharkhand. The university serves students from Jharkhand and surrounding regions, and is part of the wider higher education landscape of the Jamshedpur industrial belt.
The university was established under the Arka Jain University Act on 14 July 2017. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India, the statutory body that oversees standards of higher education in the country.
As a private university constituted by a state legislative act, AJU is empowered to offer programmes and confer degrees in line with norms prescribed by the UGC and other applicable regulatory bodies.
