Anwar Ali (born 1984) is an Indian footballer who has represented India at the senior international level. A defender by position, he has been part of the domestic football circuit in India and featured in matches for the India national football team.

Anwar Ali emerged through the Indian football system in the 2000s, a period in which domestic competition in the country was structured around the National Football League and, from 2007 onwards, the I-League. He is among several Indian footballers of the era who progressed from club football to representing the national side.
Ali played in Indian club football and was selected to represent the senior India national football team. The national side during his playing years was administered by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and competed in regional and continental tournaments organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF).
Indian football has had more than one player named Anwar Ali. This article concerns the footballer born in 1984, and should not be confused with the younger defender of the same name born in the early 2000s, who has played in the Indian Super League and for India at youth and senior levels.
