Annu Rani is an Indian track and field athlete who specialises in the javelin throw. She has been one of India's leading women javelin throwers for over a decade and has held the national record in the discipline. Annu Rani hails from Bahadurpur village in the Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh. She took up the javelin throw in her teenage years, initially training with locally available equipment and on rudimentary facilities before being inducted into structured coaching. Her early career was shaped by training under coaches in Uttar Pradesh and later at national camps organised by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
Annu emerged on the national circuit in the early 2010s and progressively rebuilt the Indian women's javelin national record on multiple occasions, becoming the first Indian woman to consistently throw beyond the 60-metre mark.
