Angul railway station is a railway station located in the town of Angul in the Angul district of the Indian state of Odisha. It serves as the principal railway station for the town and the surrounding industrial and mining belt, and lies on the Talcher–Sambalpur section of the Indian Railways network. The station is administered by the East Coast Railway zone of Indian Railways.

The station is situated in Angul, a town in central Odisha that has developed as an industrial centre on the back of coal mining, thermal power generation, aluminium production and associated heavy industry. Angul is connected by rail to other towns in the region including Talcher to the east and Sambalpur to the west. The town is also linked by National Highway connectivity, with the railway station functioning as one of the main public transport hubs.
Angul lies on the broad gauge route that runs through the coal-bearing belt of the Mahanadi basin. The line connects the Howrah–Chennai main line at Cuttack, via Talcher, to the Howrah–Mumbai route at Sambalpur, providing an important east–west corridor across Odisha. The station handles passenger services such as express, mail and passenger trains operating between Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Rourkela and other destinations within Odisha, as well as long-distance services to other parts of India.
Owing to the heavy concentration of coal mines, washeries, power plants and aluminium facilities in the Angul–Talcher region, the corridor through Angul is also significant for freight movement, particularly the transport of coal and industrial raw materials.
