Andrew Barry McDonald (born 5 June 1981) is an Australian cricket coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the Australia national cricket team. As a player, he represented Victoria and South Australia in domestic cricket and had a brief international career with Australia.
McDonald was an all-rounder who batted right-handed and bowled right-arm medium-fast. He represented Australia at under-19 level and also turned out for the Prime Minister's XI. He made his Test debut in Sydney on 3 January 2009 against South Africa. He later captained the Australia A XI in a series against South Africa in 2012.
After his playing days, McDonald moved into coaching and was eventually appointed head coach of the Australia national cricket team. Under his charge, Australia won the 2023 ICC World Test Championship Final and the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
