Pathak began her professional life in modelling before moving to acting in feature films. Like several contemporaries of her generation, she transitioned from print and commercial modelling assignments to a screen career in Mumbai.
Pathak made her feature film debut in Raaz - The Mystery Continues (2009), the second instalment in the Raaz horror franchise produced by Vishesh Films. The film was directed by Mohit Suri and co-starred Kangana Ranaut, Emraan Hashmi and Adhyayan Suman. The project served as her introduction to mainstream Hindi cinema.
Following her debut, she continued to be linked with modelling work and select on-screen appearances, though she did not pursue a high-volume film career.
Pathak's debut is noted as part of Vishesh Films' practice of introducing new screen faces alongside established performers, a launch pattern that the banner—run by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt—has used for several actors in Hindi cinema.
