Ajay Kumar Mishra, popularly known as Ajay Mishra Teni, is an Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He represents the Kheri Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh and has served as Minister of State for Home Affairs in the Government of India in the second Narendra Modi ministry.

Ajay Mishra hails from the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, a region in the Terai belt bordering Nepal. He is widely referred to by his nickname "Teni", which is commonly used in local political and media references. Before entering national politics, he was active in district-level public life and the legal profession in Uttar Pradesh.
Ajay Mishra was first elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Nighasan constituency. He subsequently moved to national politics on a BJP ticket.
The Kheri Lok Sabha seat covers parts of Lakhimpur Kheri district in Uttar Pradesh. The district is among the largest by area in the state and includes the Dudhwa National Park and significant sugarcane-growing tracts. The constituency has historically alternated between the Indian National Congress, the Samajwadi Party and the BJP.
As a Member of Parliament from a politically important Terai constituency and as a Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Ajay Mishra Teni has been associated with the BJP's electoral organisation in central and eastern Uttar Pradesh. The Home Affairs portfolio places him within the ministry responsible for internal security, central armed police forces, border management and Centre–State coordination.
