Aaron James Finch (born 17 November 1986) is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer who captained the Australia national cricket team in both One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) formats. An opening batter who also bowled occasional left-arm orthodox spin, Finch was one of the leading limited-overs batters of his generation and led Australia to their maiden Men's T20 World Cup title in 2021.

Finch played first-class and domestic limited-overs cricket for Victoria. In Australia's domestic Twenty20 competition, the Big Bash League, he represented the Melbourne Renegades, with whom he was long associated as a leading batter and captain.
Finch made his international debut for Australia in 2011. In August 2013, he scored 156 off 63 balls against England, setting a new record for the highest individual score in a T20I. The following year, he was first handed the captaincy of the Australian T20I squad and was named the Australian Men's Twenty20 International Player of the Year in 2014.
Finch was a member of Australia's 2015 Cricket World Cup squad. He was replaced as T20I captain in 2016 before returning to lead the side in 2018, when he also took over the ODI captaincy following a brief stint in the role to cover for an injured Matthew Wade.
In July 2018, Finch scored 172 against Zimbabwe, surpassing his own earlier mark to set the record for the highest individual score in a T20I. He was named the Australian Men's Twenty20 International Player of the Year for a second time in 2018.
Finch was awarded the Australian Men's One Day International Player of the Year in 2020. As captain, he led Australia to victory in the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, the country's first title in the format. He announced his retirement from ODI cricket in 2022 and retired from all international cricket in 2023, subsequently transitioning into cricket commentary.
Finch is regarded as one of Australia's most successful limited-overs captains. His twin records for the highest individual T20I score, set first in 2013 and bettered by himself in 2018, marked him as a defining figure in the format's development. Leading Australia to their first ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2021 remains the defining achievement of his captaincy.
